Social Media Policy
The Molecular Biosystems Conference encourages the use of social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and blogging, as ways to engage the community in the event.
Attendees are permitted to live tweet during presentations, unless the speaker explicitly opts out by stating so at the start of their talk. Taking or sharing photos, videos, or reproductions of posters is not permitted unless you have the presenter’s consent. If you plan to use social media during the meeting, please use the designated hashtag. If there is any confusion or you have any questions about the role of social media at the meeting, please ask the organizers or session chairs. As a presenter, if you do not want your research to be shared on social media, you must make it clear, by making a statement to that effect during your presentation or on your poster, by whatever means are available. The Molecular Biosystems Committee cannot be held liable for any claims of damages as a result of social media sharing of any content presented at the meeting. In addition, by attending the conference, you grant the Molecular Biosystems Committee the right to use your name and image/likeness for use in educational, news, or promotional materials. |
