By registering to the conference, you agree with all of the conference policies outlined below and in all conference materials, as well as to follow all applicable laws.
Data Privacy
The event ("Molecular Biosystems") uses personal information provided by you to organize and manage the the event you attend, and the Program is the sole repositories of all information collected through our website. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with other organizations.
We will use your personal information to:
Please note that will share some personal information of conference attendees with other conference participants. This information will be included in the abstract book and is limited to author's names and affiliations, and the presenting author's email address. Please also be aware that a PDF file containing all abstracts will be sent out to every conference attendee and will also be made available on our website after the event.
Based on your participation history in Molecular Biosystems events, we will alert you of conferences organized by us in the future. Such correspondence will include the option to permanently opt out of future announcements.
Social Media/Photo/Video Policy
Live tweeting of conference talks and events is encouraged, using the official hashtag (#mBioSys23), unless the speaker verbally opts out. Taking or sharing photos or videos of posters is permitted only with the presenter’s consent.
The organizers or conference volunteers/staff may take pictures or record videos during the conference. In registering for the conference, you grant Molecular Biosystems the freedom to photograph you during the meeting, and you acknowledge and agree that we may include images of yourself, intact or in part, for conference promotional activities or other related endeavors. This material may also appear on the conference's website or associated social media outlets.
For editions of the conference with video recording of talks for on-demand viewing, you grant Molecular Biosystems the freedom and all rights to record your talk and make it available for a limited time to registered users.
Cancellation of the Conference due to Force Majeure
Molecular Biosystems (the "Organizer") is entitled to reschedule, shorten, withdraw from, or terminate (in all cases partially or completely) the event and any related services for factual reasons beyond the control of its organizers, including but not limited to fire, severe thunderstorm, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, terror threats, health emergencies, security/safety risks, or flooding (“Force Majeure”) without this leading to the Organizer or iBio being liable for any damages.
The Organizer may take reasonable steps to minimise the consequences of the force majeure on its events and it is entitled to reschedule or shorten (in all cases partially or wholly) an event and any performance related to such event.
The termination pursuant to the cause of Force Majeure invalidates the parties’ mutual obligations. Molecular Biosystems shall inform the participants without due delay.
For termination of contract concerning an event between the Organizer and the participant due force majeure, this shall be without any liability for either party, except in so far as has accrued prior to the date on which the termination of the contract takes effect.
Each party to the contract concerning the event (Organizer and the participant) shall itself be responsible for all direct and indirect financial consequences affecting it as a result of or in connection with the force majeure. The occurrence of force majeure shall not entitle either party to any additional payment or compensation.
In the event of a cancellation due to force majeure before the start of the conference, the Organizer will reimburse a participant registered for the cancelled event any payment made to the Organizer for participation in such event. Refunds are issued for events cancelled only by by the Organizer. The reimbursement shall concern only payments made to the Organizer for participation in the event, and shall exclude for this purpose any other costs committed by participants or associated with their attendance to the event, such as any travel or accommodation.

We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference without a refund at the discretion of the conference organizers, who may also decide to contact the offender's institution.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including, but not limited to, warning the offender, expulsion from the conference with no refund and contacting the offender's institution.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact any conference organizer immediately, either directly or via email ([email protected]), or contact local authorities immediately to report the incident, if the behavior is criminal in nature.
Information related to reported unacceptable behavior will be handled confidentially, discreetly and promptly. Complaints will be timely investigated by the organizers or a third party on their behalf.
The organizers will help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.
We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.

I understand that Molecular Biosystems does not assume responsibility for medical or travel expenses of attendees. I agree that, while traveling to and from, and participating in the conference and its related events, I am responsible for my own well-being, travel arrangements, housing, and registration, and must ensure that my guests and I are covered by our own travel and health insurance policies. I am aware there is a risk that I may experience possible serious personal injury or illness from defects in facilities, equipment, or food served at the conference, from adverse weather events occurring there, or from accidents while participating in or traveling to or from a conference.
I am also aware there is a risk that I may experience economic loss or property damage as a result of my travel to or from or participation in a conference, and that Molecular Biosystems is not responsible for private possessions damaged, lost, or stolen at the conference.
In exchange for participating in the conference, I assume all such risks arising out of my participation and travel, and I also release, agree to indemnify, and hold harmless, Molecular Biosystems, and its organizers from all claims and lawsuits arising out of such injury, illness, or damage.
I understand that if I post on the event's social media pages to look for roommates or for people to share a ride or any activity with, the organizers are not responsible for the content of these postings, matching, or mediating disputes that arise from such arrangements, and that they reserve the right to remove postings that are deemed inappropriate. I also understand that the organizers are exempt from any liability that may result from such arrangements.
Similarly, the Organizers do not assume any responsibility or liability for caregiving services of any sort that may be contracted by individuals in the context of the child/dependent care awards.

Safe conduct at the event
By attending, you agree to abide by applicable Chilean regulations and to conduct yourself in accordance with all provided instructions. This will include, but is not limited to:
- refraining from coming to the event, or leaving promptly if you test positive for, or develop symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you are required to be in self-isolation or quarantine by COVID-19 regulations in Chile or at the location you are travelling from;
- observing good hand-washing and hygiene etiquette

- any loss and damage, including personal injury and death and related legal costs, resulting from any exposure to the COVID-19 virus caused by travel to/from or participation in the event;
- any direct or indirect costs arising from your need to quarantine for reasons relating to COVID-19, including but not limited to medical costs, accommodation for extended stays or costs for rearranged travel;
- any expenses or losses resulting from your failure to meet any national or regional COVID-19 travel and entry rules and any rules regulating admission to indoor events.
- In light of the foregoing, you shall book flexible travel/ accommodation and take out travel insurance that covers you for these eventualities.
